Sledging is a highlight for young and old. Who doesn’t love it? Shoes laced up, gloves on and helmet on your head – you’re ready to go. Switzerland has a lot to offer when it comes to sledging, but which runs have that special something? We found out for you.

Bernese Oberland

  • Saxeten Sledging trail

    In the Saxettal valley lies Alp Nesslern, where the 3 km long sledging run leads to Saxeten.

  • Niederhorn

    The Niederhorn cable car takes you up to just under 2,000 metres above sea level in comfort. Enjoy the half-hour rapid descent from the Niederhorn to Vorsass.

  • Foxrun Wegnernalp

    If you whiz down the slope very close to the famous Lauberhorn downhill run, you almost feel a bit like Didier Cuche or Carlo Janka.

    The 2.5 kilometre long and sunny sledging run from Brunni to Ristis guarantees lots of fun and joie de vivre.

Valais

  • Hornberger Run

    This easy sledging route is suitable for the whole family. A leisurely descent with long straights is the ideal route for children and sledging beginners.

  • Saanersloch Run

    The Saanersloch Run is a more challenging sledging run, the first part of which includes steep sections. The second part is rather easy to navigate.

  • Horneggli Run

    It goes through fir forests and drifting snow. The sledging run crosses the Hornberg Run, so it’s possible to change your route.

  • Rotenboden

    The Rotenboden-Riffelberg sledging run on the Gornergrat is not only the highest of its kind in the Alps, it is also one of the most beautiful, captivating with a fantastically beautiful mountain panorama.

Graubünden

  • Prui-Ftan

    The first, south-east facing section of the sledging run is fairly straight, shortly before the run then leads into the «God Schür» forest, where many smaller curves will put your technical skills to the test.

  • Crasta Mora

    After a short 20-minute walk through a fairy-tale snowy larch forest, with views of the breathtaking Engadin high valley flashing through the trees, you sledge towards Bever.

  • Lü-Tschierv

    The route starts directly at the post bus stop and is an easy ride on regular terrain through snowy forests, leading to Tschierv. Where the run leaves the forest, the panorama opens up to the opposite side of the valley and towards the east.

  • Foppa-Flims

    The three kilometre long sledging run from Foppa to Flims is easily reached by chairlift. The descent starts below the restaurant at Berghaus Foppa.

    The Scharmoin - Canols sledging run is around 3.8 km long and climbs an impressive 415 metres in altitude.

    The Tgantieni chairlift takes you to the sledging run, which brings you down to the Val Sporz valley station at high speed.
