Five certifications with Ibex Fairstay

A handful of youth hostels have been honoured with awards from the Swiss sustainability label Ibex Fairstay. One facility stood out in particular.

Thanks to the tireless commitment of the employees of the Swiss Youth Hostels, five of our hostels were honoured with certifications and recertifications by sustainability label Ibex Fairstay.

After comprehensive renovation and modernisation efforts at the Rapperswil-Jona Youth Hostel, this facility has been honoured with the gold label for the first time ever. The facility in Crans-Montana is pleased with its re-certification at the silver level, along with Valbella-Lenzerheide, which was once again awarded the highest level of platinum. The franchise in Bellinzona was honoured with bronze.

The wellnessHostel4000 in Saas-Fee, which opened in 2014, has cause for celebration. This hostel received the highest number of points overall of all youth hostels, more than earning the platinum level, and serves as a model with its combination of sustainability and wellness.
