It’s that time again – the whole of Switzerland will be hiking through the night during the 18th Hiking Night. And you can join in too... take part in this year’s sunrise hike in Scuol. The starting point for the hike is Scuol Youth Hostel. It then continues over fenland to the highest point of the hike, Vastur Farm. If the weather is good, you can watch the sunrise while enjoying a picnic straight from your trusty rucksack. The view here extends from the Dreiländereck in the southeast – the region where Austria, Germany and Switzerland intersect – via Sent. It then stretches across the Lower Engadine Dolomites, encompassing the Sesvenna and Pisoc mountain ranges all the way to Scuol and Tarasp, then far into the distance towards Guarda and Lavin. You will then head back to the youth hostel where a sumptuous breakfast buffet awaits you.

Night hike during the Swiss Hiking Night to Hof Vastur. If the weather is fine, you can watch the sunrise while enjoying a picnic straight from your backpack. The offer can also include an overnight stay at Scuol Youth Hostel, incl breakfast buffet.

What to bring   

Hiking boots with a good tread, rucksack, weatherproof clothing, filled water bottle, plus hiking poles and camera, if desired  

Headlamps will be provided by the hiking guide  

Requirements   

In addition to bringing hiking boots with firm soles, it is important to ensure that you are sure-footed. The hike requires medium fitness and is also suitable for families.
