Barrier-free versus partially barrier-free
Barrier-free
- Means our hostels are designed to meet accessibility requirements in all areas.
- his includes check ins and access to wet rooms
- The public areas are barrier-free for standard wheelchair users.
- Some smaller spaces (e.g. seminar rooms, roof terraces) may be difficult to access.
Partially barrier-free facilities
This may be for a variety of reasons. The following points are primarily considered:
- Specific obstacles such as small door thresholds that are easy for many wheelchair users to navigate.
- Key public spaces that are inaccessible to wheelchair users.
- No room facilities to ensure the comfort of disabled guests.
- All hostels with this classification have at least one wet cell (shower and toilet) specially adapted for people with mobility impairments.
