From the Social Diakonia Fund to the Swiss Youth Hostels
The financial support comes from the Social Diakonie Fund run by the former owner of the building (Verein Bella Lui in Aarau), who decided to transfer part of the fund assets to the Swiss Youth Hostels following its reopening as a youth hostel. The Swiss Youth Hostels (SYH) now have the opportunity to pay contributions to families resident in Switzerland or individuals in need of rest and relaxation. Parents (including single parents) who spend three or more days’ holiday at Bella Lui with two or more of their own children can expect to pay 50% of the accommodation costs. The assistance fund is also available to individuals who are experiencing a life crisis or seeking a change in direction, and are in urgent need of rest and recovery.
