On request, all guests can cancel any trips already booked or postpone any new trips to another date before the end of 2020 free of charge. To postpone the trip, guests must select a new date in 2020. If no alternatives are available, the reservation can also be moved to another youth hostel (excluding Bellinzona, Engelberg, Fiesch, Lugano, Romanshorn and Trin). This may cause a change in price, such as if a booking is moved from off-peak to peak season, or if a different hostel is selected. The trip can now be cancelled free of charge. The youth hostel you have booked with would be happy to help you rearrange your trip. You can find the contact details on the booking confirmation or at www.youthhostel.ch/contact.

School and university groups will even have 12 months to rebook or cancel their trip free of charge. For example, a booking for April 2020 can be moved to April 2021.

These new conditions are effective immediately and, for the time being, apply until 30 June 2020 for existing bookings and for new bookings between 17 March and 30 June 2020.

Please note that these new conditions do not apply to the Youth Hostels in Bellinzona, Engelberg, Fiesch, Lugano, Romanshorn and Trin.

Guests who have booked via booking platforms like Booking.com, Hostelworld, Hotels.com, ebookers.com, Expedia, trivago.ch, Agoda, etc. should refer to the cancellation terms and conditions of the relevant platform.
