Shining a light on the “beautiful” Crans-Montana Youth Hostel

The Bella Lui Youth Hostel in the canton of Valais is located very close to Lake Grenon and the attractive giant illuminated letters spelling “Crans Montana” that were installed to mark the town’s 125 years as a holiday resort.

“Bella Lui” means “beautiful light” in the original Valais dialect. The youth hostel certainly lives up to its name. The former sanatorium located on a high plateau boasts incredible views of the Valais Alps from three sun terraces. Tall windows and glass doors let the sun shine into the building and flood the rooms with light, making it the perfect place to relax after an exciting day of hiking, biking or skiing. Skate trip through Switzerland

Experience a unique skate adventure across Switzerland: Skate the Alps is an eight-day skate camp designed specifically for women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people (FLINTA*) who want to learn to skateboard or improve their skills in a safe and supportive environment. The route takes you from Zurich to Laax via Lucerne, Interlaken and Crans-Montana – accompanied by experienced skaters who will give you valuable tips and professional guidance.

Thanks to the “Bella Lui Assistance Fund,” we are able to offer financially disadvantaged Swiss families with multiple children the opportunity to enjoy carefree moments at the Bella Lui Youth Hostel in Crans-Montana.
